Why I Decided to Sell My Wedding Dress

I recently sold my wedding dress on a b2b website. That's not a business to business website. It's a bride to bride one. It's a relatively new concept that is fast gaining a lot of positive popularity amongst the masses. Anyways, coming back to my decision to sell my wedding dress let me assure you that the dilapidated economy has got nothing to do with it.

I was busy cleaning my house the other day. The amount of clutter and junk in the house had to be seen to be believed. This is when I came across my wedding dress lying in a box at the bottom of my closet. Almost instantly, it brought back some cherished memories of my big day. I took the dress out of the box and had a good long look at it. It was as good as new barring dust that had settled on it. The first thought that came to me was, 'Why was this beautiful designer dress lying at the bottom of my closet completely neglected? It deserved better treatment.'

Within the next couple of hours, I toyed with several ideas on what to do with my wedding dress including modifying it into another one but didn't find anything exciting enough. Then, as I was about to lay the idea to rest, this random thought crossed my mind and I looked up online for 'wedding dress sales'. The results first surprised and later fascinated me. Yes, there is a huge online market for worn and used wedding dresses.

There are auction websites and bride to bride websites where one can sell or buy a used wedding dress. And there is loads of information as well on how to prepare it before listing it online for sale. Even a complete newbie would be able to list or sell a wedding dress.

So if you are unsure about what to do with your wedding dress, then think about it. Selling it is the best idea.
